Winning the World Cup

Olanikpekun:

My father, we are going to have to continue
this... inter generational discourse another
time. I'm sure it will be here on earth. However,
a far more pressing matter is upon me. However
hard for you to believe it, I have no choice.

Saidu, the object of soccer is its goal. For
example, one of the goals of a politician in
Nigeria, unnamed (since I don't know his name)
is to sponsor me to the rank of "Speaker of
the House." I declined, though flattered,
and then thought about what a goal is. The
game of soccer is the manifest extension of
the time before the game of soccer. Your
goals are to create space and control the
PACE, Saidu, the PACE of the game. You do
so by creating a defense clad in iron, where
only electricity moves, a medium that is
fluid and a front line that is precise.
It is good for you to have me to talk to
about this, for you will take no one else's
opinion, not even Keshi. But he I fear is
a bit too... dull for our types. So here's
the deal. Identify your goals for the world
cup. And though we are not Uday and Qusay,
we would be very disappointed if this level
of intelligence was not found in our... eagles...
of which I am the first...

PS: Arch Deacon Olanikpekun, may the souls of
the dead of Port Au Prince rest in peace and may
the suffering of the living be minimized.

"ashe...
