Sir:
I have just had a follow up meeting with some of
your flock. The predominating notion that I was
left with was that they, your flock, are warning
people about the great calamity to come, since
as in the days of Noah people are carrying on
in marriage and are being given in marriage etc etc.
I intoned, quietly, that as a cultural ambassador
their... remarks about governments and what not
have been found to be lacking. As with the Jewish
Nation of yore, the United States is founded upon principles
drawn expertly from the Bible. Alas, I can say
that while I agree that governments, in the past,
have been enemies of the Christ, I was ... intrigued
to find that your representatives clung on to
the hope of the change of this system of things by
the physical destruction of the world system, despite
repeated hints that there are others ways by which
the system of things can change. If you do not think
the Tsunami of 04 was God speaking you do not know
God. And so, maybe it is, sir, that you are not
paying attention? To God? I find it scary, that
psychologically--and perhaps inadvertently due to
persecution received carrying the torture stake, from
door to door,--it seemed quite viscerally that your flock
are waiting, nay, hoping for much more than the Tsunami
and the Earth quakes and floods and fires and disasters that
have become common place in the last decade. Why, the Tsunami
flooded 12 nations in no time at all, laying waste to people
and cultures all at once. To suggest that all men are too haughty,
after such an event, to pay attention... might also suggest that
you, sir, are not paying attention. For where I stand in the
organizations I work with, since 1999 we have documented in
every possible way the voice of God. And, to boot, his influence
as it becomes more and more apparent in the affairs of the nations
that hear his voice. I am not waiting for destruction, with the promise
of resurrection through mind control. I found the elder responsive
and true, but the younger to be childish and, dare I say, foolish.
I hope you will take this seriously, lest you run once more, upon
a god... and discover that one must always embrace life, despite
persecution... and not hope that more calamity than has occurred
should happen and destroy us all. What sort of hope is that?
