Elder Gaul:
My point is crystal:
[5] Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
[6] And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
NOW:
This is the last verse in the Old Testament. The New
Testament then goes on to describe a conflict between
Fathers and the Son of God, Jesus Christ, culminating
in a prophesy of prophesies proving, beyond any reasonable
doubt, that at least as regards the dialectic in the Synoptic
gospels, "I, Jesus," was the right one.
To me, given the last verse of the old testament and
WHAT the new testament describes, I believe the story
of Jesus, who came in the flesh, to be a final warning
to God's people, through whom the religion of the caretaker
of this planet is clearly revealed through the sabbatical
phase and other matters within the purview of what the
Egyptians called "Maat." If centered within Maat,
the Laws of Moses make perfect sense. This can be clear
to a modern rabbinic high council as it should have
been to the ancient. That they are here today, and that
Jesus exists in argument and in spirit, demonstrates
that we cannot ignore the present in waiting for the
fulfillment of prophesy. The Christ lives today, but
so does Caiaphas!
Otherwise, how do we make sense of the last verse
of the Old Testament, which is clearly a warning
to take the New Testament as seriously as civilization
itself. The form of the warning suggests that
on one end of the continuum is the possibility,
the mere possibility, that given free will the
Rabbinic High Council of the State of Israel
extant during the third figurative day after
the Crucifixion of the Christ and the subsequent
destruction of Israel, will accept any children
of Israel who thoroughly advocate the argument
of Jesus who was called by his disciples "the Christ"
against their orthodox interpretation of the Law
of Moses. Since this is a possibility, then
at this end of the continuum is an ordered
destruction of the old system of things, occurring
BY the symbolic destruction of the Orthodox Rabbinate's
ways and beliefs, by which each family, then each
nation, is re-ordered to take advantage of the
universal message of the God who chose the Jews
to speak through on this planet.
Then, of course, there is the OTHER end of
the continuum, where God has promised not
to destroy ALL mankind with a flood... and
keeps his promise... ;-)
THat's it..
