Conservative Values in the Black Community

I find, upon doing personal research, that many, dare I say MOST blacks in the community espouse conservative ideals. They frown on abortion, love the Lawd, and are fiscally conservative in their own expenditures and budgets. But since the Republican Party continues to refuse to make the OBVIOUS correlation between the horrendous statistics in the black community (concerning women and men and families) and the Emancipation Proclamation and Jim Crow, then these blacks whom I speak with stick with the Democratic Party, which offers a bad solution but one at least. Entitlements ought to sunset and should never have been considered a solution to the problem of reparations, which at least can be argued for at the psychological level. The voting and civil rights acts recognized the equality of the races, but did nothing to REDRESS the injustice of slavery. This can no longer stand, for it is the root of the black community's malaise today. I cannot imagine any white man who could today survive a world where his ancestors were slaves, then granted a freedom that meant nothing in capital terms. There is NO doubt that the black community is at a heavier disadvantage that is rooted in the injustices that came after emancipation, and to ignore that is to ignore the legitimate concerns of a constituency that requires representation. I am one of those who evangelizes Geoffrey Canada's Harlem's Children Zone as a model for repairing the imbalance that all black children are born into, forcing the destiny of a black child to be predictable and sad. In the black community, for instance, a young black male is more likely to go to prison than college. This is a crisis and if the Republican Party continues to ignore the implications of such horrendous statistics, then the black community will continue to support the bad solution proposed by the liberal elite who, though marched with Dr. King, are bereft of his ideals of self suffiency and independence for the black race. If the RNC would address this foundational issue, of redressing the historical imbalance (without providing for NEW imbalances) then their ranks would swell naturally, for it seems the black man, and woman, is a natural Republican.
