The American People are NOT Stupid (or are they?)

During the stimulus debate, many made much ado about how... quickly it all was happening. If the Senate and House would take perhaps seven more days to craft a bill which, given the size of the spending, would definitely make a difference, then we would not be so antsy. But Mr. Obama, in his usual foolish fashion, said that the sky would fall if the bill was not concluded that evening. It was and then he went to play golf. Today he says the stimulus is working "as intended." Since he went to play golf and didn't even sign the bill till Tuesday, giving us three days which we could have used to craft an even more precise bill in conference, then "as intended" means Obama intended the bill to fail.

VP Biden, however, with his plastic and increasingly less intelligent (for a caucasian man) smile, says today that we "underestimated how bad the economy we inherited from George Bush was." Typical. When this matter could have been fixed, I ask the American people, who has made things this bad: The Bush administration, or this one? 10% of the stimulus of 700BN USD has been spent and unemployment is projected to go up to as high as 12 or 13%. Where are all the "shovel ready" projects? I watch Hannity's Stimulus Waste count and shudder that there should not be a violent upheaval or revolution. People are desperate, you see, and we expected a stimulus package that would have spent, by now--as we did in the financial markets as GM Sachs is my witness--half the stimulus. I can only imagine that if we had by now spent anything over 200BN unemployment would have tapered off and the indices would show it. It is not that the stimulus cannot work. It was crafted in a hurry, on Obama's irrational... fears and statements, saying things that were "end of worldly" and today he looks... as is his pattern... foolish!
But now the Democrats have put on their game face. To convince their own children to be corrupt, in much the same way my Nigerian elders in Nigeria fought with blood to convince their children to be corrupt! To accept a "second stimulus" without FIRST finding out WHY the first didn't work! If we don't account for the failure of the first stimulus then the second one will be just as bad and we'll be in a deeper hole. Are the American people foolish? No. But their leaders are illegitimate and corrupt. They care not a whit about honor, dignity NOR integrity and only about their miserable careers. I could have given my nieces and nephews the stimulus money and more people would be employed today than Obama's administration is able to. And now they are in damage control mode. But didn't Obama argue that "spending" is what a stimulus is? As though to revive a dying man one taps him on the shoulder...
phah! what a failure this administration is turning out to be... and they still haven't filled many vacancies. Ridiculous!

What annoys me often, however, is Obama's patent dishonesty, a very unattractive quality. He says that it took a long time for us to get into this mess. And yet I was there when the stock market touched 14,000. No, Obama, your public interference is what is taking us so long to get anywhere. Since Obama came on the scene we have nary been able to hit 9000. Coincidence? Perhaps not. I challenge VP Biden to argue against the TRUTH that Obama has said, often and often again, that American Capitalism has failed! And yet, if this is true, then unemployment shall reach 15%, for Obama and his imprecise socialist inclinations can not, exactly, tell us how much money is being saved over how much time. Using the serpentine "created or saved," in an administration touted to be the most transparent in history. Where does this transparent administration ... smoke its cigarettes. Leading by example, an addict to tobacco... wow
