Van Valin's String Theory: Semantic Linking

I determined that it was way too risky to get a B in phonetics--was that each and
every phoneme's meaning is represented by a probability which, in sound space, gives a possibility. Each phone might be a member of the meaning of this word, within the bounds of this error. It's based on bigram theory and the easily detectible fact that contiguous phones have a probability in word space, and thus meaning space. Very simple, you'd think? Not when students were mocking Oga Van's "string theory" of semantic linking--intellectual puppeteering, it was called.
Mysterious strings. Well, I'm a protegee of Chomsky, having been accepted in 1999
for MIT's AI program (Brooks et al--see NASA/SI, '99... I was the cause of the "misunderstanding" ... see Otis Purkins and Ralph Cellan for details.) while working for Philips. Why? Well, my immigration had just been adjudicated through the Netherlands and so my first real job in Corporate America was working for Microsoft (SAPI '99). After the press release, I was asked to go to MIT for a meeting with one Dr. Journey, a suspicious a name as one can get. The result of that has been a brilliant synergy between buffalo and boston, even though it is clear that the less intelligent, and thus evil, are in Buffalo. There are secrets on the sixth floor.
What was my thesis? I understand how the brain works. The brain is dedicatedly serial. i.e. no threads, no parallel processing. well, that's not precise. parallel processing takes place, but only after serial input... so, a phone comes in and is stored where probabilities are stored. my contribution was "possibility theory" (I can post that thesis but it's hundreds of pages... maybe myspace)... a possibility is a range within probability space that is consistent... so, at the moment when all concerning the input for the last 100 microseconds has been adjudicated, composition occurs and we have meaning. But what is meaning? Bruce Journey asked, obviously an existentialist. "Aside from what I am telling you," I said, "ALL input facilities, adjudicated to MAX_PRECISION, because of which resolution has just occurred in all faculties, are shut off for 100 microseconds and that is what the meaning of that last period is... this is to say, it is true that there are "hidden" dimensions, since there must be a universal time sync because of which we can not be aware of the nothingness that is "not sensory input"... I'll explain more later.. at the risk of insulting yawlz intel...
