Marion Obadele Thompson: An American Hero

It is not a fact that all athletes use performance-enhancing drugs. I do, marijuana, and it is why it is important for me to know who does and who doesn't. I hadn't played basketball in fifteen years, but relaxed and with little else to do in the Atl but make music, high tech software and smoke my weed, I put on a clinic--fifty percent shooting from beyond the arc, over the course of six weeks and about a thousand shots. I went outside yesterday and sank a couple, so it's still there.

I am almost certain, perhaps fiercely loyal, in suggesting that our sister, Marion, did not have to do what she did. But she did, as all agreed before she did it, the right thing to do. Her gold medals are now meaningless, for, despite being our resident fallen angel, she now ascends to her throne as a legitimate American hero.
