Let me first tell this story. A young lady at the University of Benin went up to a professor to ask for a regrade. The man, a stern sixty-something with gray hairs, listened to her complaints--and they were candid, if revealing--then sat back and sighed. To hear her side of the story, he then asked her to perform a sex act on him in order to get her adjudication... to move forward.
"How did he ask you?"
He... was initially... poetic.
When a lady friend tells you this, you know she is not lying. It is often hard to believe, for example like when told tales of such things in Iran from supposedly Islamic Fascists. Why doesn't Osama fight the illegal junta in Tehran when growing evidence shows that sexual harrasment is not just some politically correct moniker--it is a surreal fact in so many places.
Take my uncle, Kayode, for instance--a Chemistry professor. He fled the US having been accused of the same thing, charging sex for academic rewards. He will tell you he was not guilty, but no one now believes him. It is why it is very possible to believe the justice Thomas was telling lies.
Except that he is a Justice on the US Supreme Court, and such people, on pain of... everything bad... do not tell lies... at best, they ignore the truth...
So... was Anita Hill lying?
I exhale...
I have seen women, sir, do strange things... I am not God ... maybe even the son of It... but it remains hard for me to believe that any man can sit amongst the Kings of Heaven on the Supreme Court and not know that USS-1 has the transcripts of his life. If Clarence Thomas did harras Ms. Hill, I bet you it was inadvertent. How often have I caught my tongue in corporate America, saying to myself, "I wish these rules allowed me to speak freely." And what is free in corporate is similar to Military Justice. Corporate Associates, as you know, are equivalent to Army Lance Corporals or Masons of the 32nd Degree. Now...
I happen to have important gossip on the Thomas issue. Some might say I adjudicated it myself... My witnesses? Kathy (ATrillion's own) who now lives in "California", Helger Stolze also of San Mateo, Dr. Ralph Cellan of Belgium and Her Majesty, the Queen of England. It was that important. Given the drama as it spawned out in my own life's interpretation--I was accused of the exact opposite of sexual harrasment, if you can believe it (I wasn't a "team player" in this version of corporate democracy)--my only calculation was whether a judgment by me of "not guilty" would have its polarity reversed for consistency. But it made no sense. If Clarence Thomas is guilty, he could not survive in the shadows of Justice Marshall. And yet I remain reserved... why? Have you seen the way he looks at people?
