to be quite frank

I am a scholar of soccer... but this is not like the Grammy's, my team mates ridiculed me... until I showed them, and myself, that I could surprisingly still exercise my talent in sports... turns out that I'm a sharp shooter from beyond the arc... armed with that confidence, I returned to my team and told them that I'm sure I COULD coach a soccer team since I can coach basketball at the olympic level...
though it doesn't necessarily follow...
anyhoo... Quintessential soccer: France V Croatia, WC Semis, France V Brazil WC Finals. Is how the modern game is played. France got it... and they demonstrated that they can show it at will. Germany's "work horse" method is no longer fashionable. I think South Korea demonstrated that Germany's days are numbered... Italy? Well... they play a version that is almost pristine... but so long as they don't understand what Brazil does in the upper third...
So, why does Amnesia strike teams? You can take Nigeria. Their first two under 16 teams were technically sound. Led to the Olympic Gold with Kanu and Okocha. But since then, nothing can be said of Nigeria's style of play. It has, again, like in the old days, been ridiculed by foreigners, one who once coached the team who claimed that watching Nigerian soccer he almost broke his neck for following that "kick and run". It is not insulting, for it is the way Nigerians play... and to see how much they glorify "to obtain" a person... and not know how to do it in sports... shows why black men can run fast... and think slow...
Sampson had the US team just where they were needed. I was personally informed by one Mr. Patrick, on the US Olympic coaching staff, that the difference between the US and Brazil is "speed". Watching the game yesterday, I knew exactly what he meant. Speed of thought, speed of awareness, speed of action and, for good measure, McEnroe's "double vision" but in soccer it's "triple". Hearing Coach Bradley speak I can't help but think he knows, at this time, NOTHING, about how to coach a winning soccer team. For those who bow down.... who dont' know that we probably are the best soccer team of all times... get it...
