Now, the Senator says the surge "is working" and he should know. He's an old hand. But politics being what it is, I suddenly heard in my office, no sooner had the Senator left, the noise of other people who claimed to have an opinion on military matters... I think the reason we have a civilian head of DoD is so that I don't have to listen to such rubbishes...
