The emitter and the base must constitute a circuit sourced at the emitter, but
time-based, so that when the capacitor is discharged at the relevant speed,
the polarity of the circuit has JUST switched. In this way, we subtract the initial charge (less dissipation) from the new charge in the alternate current and we know something about the charge given by the collector, its time to collect, and any other data that's relevant... physical electronics... or the NY State Trooper Exam...
