Level-33: What the General Public heard

In time, the story told is of Earth High Command, a conglomeration of minds resolved
to directing the affairs of the planet. Perhaps it is that they took their symbols
seriously, for no one ever saw or heard from Solon St. John again. Could it be that
their intelligence so surprassed ours that they evolved, formed a new... civilization?
Away from the banality of Macy's parades and... Seinfeld? Or... did they just melt
back into civilization, awaiting the day when civilization, again, will have need
for such mastery? My last memory of the Angel is of him boarding the tube in London.
Under his left arm was the newspaper. It read, "Angel of Doom seen in Scottish Lake."
What was it about Scotland? "It is where men were made," the Angel said, taking
me aback. He smiled, then gently nudged Queen Abimisade into the vehicle. "It is
where men were made."
