"Lazarus!" Jesus commanded, "Come forth."
For several minutes nothing happened. All of eternity knew that Judas would speak first. "Master, nothing is happening."
If disdain ever had a messenger, it was the look on Jesus' face. When he turned back to look ahead of him, he saw it. The signal.
"Lazarus is a go," Jesus whispered to Simon, then disappeared quite inopportunely, for Judas at least, who had already begun to implement the Plan B given to him by the Centurion. It was the last time anyone saw Jesus at close quarters.
