Herodotus stood up and walked towards the east corner of the room. The astrologers were wrong, again. But now he knew they were doing it on purpose.
"Chancellor," a small man entered the room, "the scribes are ready."
"Yes, yes," Herod said, contemplating the meaning of this meeting in history. He would write Jesus out of all history. Never was there a Jew in the pantheon of gods, and not today will such a thing begin to occur.
