Logic and Revelation

When I discovered what I believed to be a methodology unifying statistics and mechanics in physics I also discovered what I believed to be the prophesy of such a discovery. I intuit very strongly that in applying Logic to several sciences one can make predictions about conundrums, for example, that are bound to come up in the fullness of time given certain circumstances. Applying Logic to English Linguistics can be no different. I met the weak link in Linguistics, once. This person had no clue what formalism was and why it was central to any sort of discussion about anything. Somehow our love survived. But the prediction was written in history with a name too contextual to discard.
