When I had raised enough monies to purchase my first synth, in 1996, I became aware that the sounds on that synth, and the abilities to manipulate them as well, were industry standard, possibly state of the art. It's taken me eleven years but I've finally done the Korg X3 justice, for those who have been following that story. I finally hit the mix, the state-of-the-art production I wanted to get to before I began working professionally for any label. In this way, I am master of my domain, know exactly what I want, and thus how to get it. The 2 songs are on Muah!Space. The first one, amugbo, was
almost there. I hit it with Smoking This herb 4 U. If I had even more medicinal resources I could've made it radio-ready! Can you believe this, using my Korg X3, a StudioLogic SL-161 MidiController, Acoustica Mixcraft audio recording software and a PC. It's all I needed. Everything I required, studio wise, was in Acoustica digitally, save for a couple of effects I could simulate but would rather have prepackaged for lack of time. In any case I've enjoyed the myspace sessions tremendously, made real friends with real stars. Been loads of fun.
